I’m really trying hard to keep this site as current as possible. It seems I get on a roll and post a whole lot and then …. I get further and further behind and have much to catch up on.
I have lots of photos to post of the boys I just haven’t had a chance to go through them all yet. I’ve really been trying to get better at my photography. I’ve been using the manual settings on my camera a lot. Some results are good, some not so good and some are downright BAD. It takes me a while to go through all the pics when I do this.
I have photos of the boys just messing around in the house. They have been really roughhousing lately. Jumping on each other and rolling around on the floor - very physical boy stuff. Its cute to watch them play together but can be pretty scary when I’m in the other room and I hear Brian telling Charlie to jump on him!!
We also took another trip to the Children’s Discovery Museum. The boys just love going there and I was able to take a bunch of photos while were there as well.
Hopefully I’ll get all my new photos uploaded in the next few days.
Peanut Butter… Ah I love peanut butter and so does everyone else in this house. I’ve been making my own peanut butter for a very long time. Its easy. Take a bunch of roasted peanuts, throw them in the food processor and grind until they are the consistency you want. Lately, I’ve been putting a little bit of brown sugar in the food processor to add a little sweet taste. Today I cut the amount of brown sugar in half and added some honey. This is by far the best batch of peanut butter I’ve made. mmmm…..
I use the huge Sam’s club size tin of Planters Roasted (and salted) Virginia Peanuts. Put about 3/4 of the can in the food processor. Add 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup of honey. Turn on your food processor and let it go until it is the consistency you want. I usually have to let mine run for at least 10 minutes - sometimes more. This amount gives me 2 glass jars full of Peanut Butter. Refrigerate and enjoy. To keep any remaining peanuts fresh keep them in the freezer.
